Stars combine good music, food and fundraising to celebrate their 2nd anniversary
October 8, 2009
ATLANTA—Nicole Brookins
Chapter Alpha Omega #200 in conjunction with Queen Ester #198 is hosting a celebratory event in honor of AO’s 2nd anniversary. They will also be celebrating their past fundraising efforts while raising funds to continue their cause.
The lovely ladies of this organization have strived at great lengths to meet the credo to which they are called. To serve their communities, strengthen and uplift each other as women and to support local and national efforts promoting charity work and social activism within the world community at large.
Alpha Omega #200 was founded in October 2007 by Donna D. Hutchinson, MBA, Sis. Jennifer D.Manns, Sis. Shirlisa Smith, Sis. Cerica Collins, MBA and Sis. Latoria Durden. The chapter received its charter in December 2007, which by that date the chapter grew to a total membership of twelve sisters. In keeping with the vision of the founders and the foundation members the chapter as of May 2008 held a total membership of sixteen sisters and still growing. Alpha Omega #200 is now 36 sisters strong.
Alpha Omega #200 was birthed with the vision to establish a chapter that holds the values of the order true and to develop and encourage sisters no matter of nationality to become the best women God has called them to be. With the guidance and leadership of Grand Matron Sis Sarah Bell, Past Grand Matron Sis Linda Thrasher and the bereaved District Matron Sis Rosena P. Bradley; the chapter jumped right into its community service and charity work by dedicating its efforts to such organizations and charity's as the Breast Cancer Walk(s), Girl Scouts and the Lupus Walk, just to name a few. Alpha Omega #200 was established with the following core focuses in mind: Charity, Service, Loyalty, Dedication and Sisterhood.
Please join these sisters in their fundraising effort as well as celebrate a bright light within the Atlanta community. These ladies like to celebrate and fundraise in style!
